Cornelius Vanderbilt II Mansion
Many people have heard of this great mansion that used to be on 5th Ave in New York City. The site now occupied by Bergdorfs was a massive house. It contained 12 bedrooms, plumbing of course and a ballroom for Mrs. Vanderbilt's 300. After she raised her children she choose to scale down and and purchased her arch rival's home, the Goulds. Before she left her former mansion she donated the front gates to central park which still reside there today. Her 5th Ave mansion was demolished in 1927
